No doubt you have tons of questions buzzing around your head right now: How does all this actually work? What do I have to do, what am I allowed to do? Am I entering into any obligations, and what's the catch with the costs?

Just relax: To take the wind out of your sails right away and clear up any uncertainty, we’ve written down 6 snappy points for you here. They show you exactly how things work and what’s okay or what isn’t. And one thing right from the start: "membership" in our community costs you absolutely nothing!

But let's be honest: FB4B lives through you, and we admins can't be everywhere at once. We rely on your help! If something absolutely didn't work out or an overnight stay – for whatever reason – ended in total disaster: shoot us a message and let us know. Only if we know about it can we react and keep the platform clean for all of us.

1. Does the overnight stay really cost nothing?

Yes, absolutely. FB4B is based on the principle of hospitality, not profit. No money changes hands for the accommodation. A cold drink together, an exciting story from the road, or simply a heartfelt "thank you" are the only currency that counts here. Membership in the community is also completely free.

2. Do I have to offer a place to sleep myself to be allowed to look for one?

No, there is no direct "obligation" to give something in return. We know that not everyone has the space for guests. But of course, the community thrives on participation. If you can't host yourself, maybe you can contribute in another way – for example, with tool support or insider tips for your local region.

3. What if I only have a spot in the garden or a sleeping pad in the garage?

Perfect! That’s exactly what it’s all about. We are not a 5-star hotel directory. Many bikers prefer a secure spot for their tent or a dry spot in the garage over an anonymous hotel room. Just be honest in your profile about what you have to offer, so your guest knows what they're getting into.

4. How safe is the whole thing? After all, I'm letting strangers into my home.

Safety and trust are the core of our community. You always decide for yourself who you host. Through the profiles and direct contact beforehand, you can get a good idea of who you're dealing with. Since we are a closed community by bikers for bikers, we are already connected by our shared passion and the code of the road.

5. Are there rules for guests and hosts?

The most important rule is: treat your counterpart and their property with respect. As a guest, you follow the house rules; as a host, you clearly communicate what goes and what doesn’t. We rely on common sense – just the way it’s done among bikers.

6. What do I do if my bike breaks down and I don't need a place to sleep?

FB4B is more than just a bed. Many of our members also offer "wrenching support." So if you just need help fixing your bike or need a specific tool, you can use the platform to search specifically for members nearby who can help you out of a tight spot.
